I love Stuart Broad as much as the next Eng fan. He's a legend. But it's weird he's in the running for #SPOTY He took 2 wickets per innings at an average of over 28 this summer. And we drew (rather than won) The Ashes. It's hardly Flintoff 2005 stuff. Still, best of luck to him.
#SPOTY has always been about more than just sporting achievement. Stuart Broad embodies the personality element more than anyone in a year when the Ashes was the most captivating sporting event (600 Test wickets an incredible achievement too!). That's why he gets my vote
