Really enjoyed watching the BBC icons program. For me Alan Turing would be my overall winner. A brilliant mind that saved many millions of life's and shortened ww2 by years, but the man was persucuted for being Gay. The bloke who tamed the Enigma machine #Icons

Alan Turing must win @bbc #Icons. How fitting would it be for the early 21st century generation to celebrate a outcasted person who basically saved Britain to not be ruled by the Nazis and is integral in creating the digital world we're now in?
For me it has to be the magnificent genius that was Alan Turing who wins #Icons.

Ive really enjoyed the #icons documentary series. For me, the winner is Alan Turing. He cracked Enigma, which should have been impossible to do, and saved millions of lives. His legacy - computers - has changed everything for everyone. A true genius, and an incredibly sad story.
